Get Paid for Your Retired
IT Equipment
Most companies are sitting on six figures of recoverable IT capital and don’t know it. Minnesota Computers buys retired laptops, servers, switches, storage arrays, networking gear, and mobile devices through our R2v3-certified buyback program. Every transaction includes certified data destruction, serial-level reporting, and a recovery check against signed inventory.

How the buyback math works
Recovery value depends on three things: the asset class, the condition, and the market for the specific model at the time of evaluation. We pull current secondary-market pricing, factor in refurbishment costs, and produce a recovery estimate before the equipment leaves your dock. No surprises.
Our 5-step buyback process
Pickup scheduling
Once you accept the estimate, we schedule pickup. Standard Twin Cities pickups are same-week. Multi-site or out-of-state engagements are scheduled to fit your refresh calendar.
Evaluation and destruction
Every asset is evaluated against the estimate. Drives are wiped or shredded based on data classification. Recoverable units are refurbished and routed to resale.

Why our buyback program returns more
Why our buyback program returns more Most buyback vendors are brokers — they buy low, mark up, and resell. We’re an R2v3-certified processor. We don’t have to share the margin with a broker because we operate the entire chain. That difference shows up in the recovery check.
